Heal The Land

Heal The Land Two years before his death, Martin Luther King wrote a book titled, Where Do We Go From Here, Chaos Or Community . In this intriguing work, Dr. King expressed great sadness that after more than a decade of the civil rights movement, blacks were worse off than they were 10 years before.   The plight of Black America today would have left him mortified. I often wonder why 55 years after the Civil Rights Act, chaos is still what defines most black communities.   Race riots and clashes between police and protesters have been replaced with crippling gang violence; intact family units have been replaced with staggering unwed pregnancies and single mother homes; and a strong desire for jobs and business opportunities have been replaced with a malignant complacency to be cared for by a welfare state.   I believed lack of quality education, limited job opportunities or even just plain old laziness contributed to the stagnancy of black America, but then an incident from almost

HERE’S WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT COVID-19, POLITICS AND THE GREAT STATES OF GEORGIA AND SOUTH CAROLINA

1. Each of these states have growing black populations (thanks to the migration of blacks from the North back to the South), resulting in an electorate that is turning more and more blue with a democratic presidential candidate narrowly losing Georgia in 2008. 2. The rate of new cases and deaths from the Coronavirus are still rising in both of these states and are expected to continue to rise. 3. Due to socioeconomic factors stemming from institutionalized racism, Blacks are considered “vulnerable” to COVID-19, which means the virus will spike in the black community first, leading to a devastating loss of life . 4. Treatment and testing for this virus are virtually nonexistent in these states, and scientists are still at a loss of the nature of this disease. So what's the real reason behind the rush to re-open the economy in these states? (Hint: 2020 Presidential Election) You can't vote if you're dead...☠️⚰️
